How Suep San Came to Be
Suep San was founded in Hat Yai by Khun Araya Thongsuk, a practising Thai lawyer who had spent years in a larger commercial firm before deciding to focus on something more personal. She had noticed, working alongside families after bereavements, that succession matters were often handled too quickly and too formally — leaving people confused and sometimes distressed long after the legal work was finished.
The practice's name — Suep San — means "to pass on" or "to carry forward" in Thai, and that intention sits at the heart of everything we do. We aim not only to complete the legal work but to help a family carry their loved one's wishes forward with clarity and respect.
Over the years, the team has grown carefully. Each person who joined brought a shared belief: that legal services around inheritance should feel human, not clinical. That belief continues to shape how we work today.
We are a small practice by design. A smaller team means that the lawyer who meets you at the first consultation is the same person handling your matter throughout. There is no handover to a junior, no starting from scratch with someone new.
Our office is on Phetkasem Road in Hat Yai, within easy reach of families across Songkhla province and the wider southern region. We work in Thai and English, and we are patient with situations that span multiple languages or jurisdictions.
We do not take on every kind of legal work — only succession and inheritance matters. This focus means we know the field well and can give honest, considered guidance rather than general advice.

Khun Araya has practised Thai succession law for over fourteen years. She founded Suep San to bring a more personal approach to an area of law that matters deeply to families.

The framework distinguishes between testate succession — where a valid will exists — and intestate succession, where the statutory order of heirs applies.
